Convert Access 2007 to Access 2003

Now, I am not sure if I am doing something wrong here but I was trying to do one simple thing. Convert Access 2007 to Access 203 format. I opened the database and then clicked on Save As and chose Access 2002-2003 format. Clicked on save and guess what?? I get an error message saying “You attempted to open a database that is already opened by user [username] on [machine name]”.

I swear on God I never attempted to open that database. I attempted to save it! But then who did? I still don’t know but for my users who wanted the previous version, I sent them a link to mircrosoft website to download the Access 2007 Runtime. Using this runtime software, my users started using the Access 2007 version. They couldn’t make design related changes but could add/udpate/delete/select data as ususal.

If anybody finds the reason why this is happening, I would be interested to know…
